A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

Your wife won’t let you go to bed until the rubbish is out.

It’s only a walk down the hall.

The Garbage Chute is a seven-night first-person horror game set inside an old Japanese apartment block. Take out the rubbish, come home, and try to sleep. Each night, the familiar route becomes harder to trust.

High-quality desktop downloads are available for Windows 64-bit and Mac (Intel + Apple Silicon).

HOW TO PLAY

Choose the ZIP for your computer and extract it. On Windows, run The Garbage Chute.exe and keep its supporting folders together. On Mac, open The Garbage Chute.app.

WASD: move / crawl

Mouse: look

E: interact

F: flashlight

Shift: hurry

Escape: pause / options

Fullscreen: use the button in Options. On Windows, F11 or Alt+Enter also toggles fullscreen.

If you are caught on night seven, Retry Night 07 or R restarts that night.
